OMOTÉ OPENS ITS FIRST BRANCH IN THE PHILIPPINES

Omoté, the acclaimed modern Japanese dining concept from Singapore, officially opens its doors in the Philippines on November 21, 2025. Located at 8 V. Ibañez Street, corner Jose Abad Santos Street in San Juan, Omoté Philippines marks the brand’s first international expansion, bringing its signature craftsmanship, bold flavors, and contemporary Japanese sensibilities to Manila’s dining scene. 

Rooted in the belief that excellence lies in precision and simplicity, Omoté has built a strong reputation in Singapore for its thoughtful approach to Japanese cuisine—where every dish, crafted with intention, balance, and artistry. At the heart of the menu is Omoté’s celebrated sushi and sashimi selection, with seafood airflown fresh daily from Japan, ensuring peak quality and uncompromised freshness. 

“Bringing Omoté to the Philippines is both an honor and an exciting new chapter,” shares Caitlin Lee, co-owner of Omoté Philippines. “We wanted to create a space where Filipinos can experience modern Japanese dining rooted in authentic ingredients, elevated craft, and a warm, contemporary atmosphere.” Joining her in leading this landmark opening are co-owners Wesley Chan, Sherwin & Guiny Koa, Neill and Denice Chuacuco, Rainier & Sam Yu, and Vince Uy, who envision Omoté Philippines as a dining destination that blends precision with accessibility—an experience that feels refined yet welcoming.

A Space Designed with Intention 

Bringing the Omoté identity to life in Manila is the work of globally-renowned architect Jorge Yulo, known for his design focused on providing a seamless, human-centered experience. The interiors also echo Omoté’s philosophy: quiet craftsmanship, meticulous detail, and a deep respect for experience. 

Singapore Team in Full Support 

To further celebrate the grand opening, leading members of the Omoté Asia Group flew in from Singapore to personally support the launch of the brand’s Philippine flagship: Philip Christopher Miu (Omoté Asia Group Executive Chef), Nagae Toshiharu, (Omoté Asia Group Head Chef), Brian Chong (Head of Kitchen Operations), Wizzy Liang (Omoté Asia Group Operations Manager), Emily Pang (Head of Service Operations), and Tricia Tan (Omoté Asia Group Brand Manager) Their presence underscores the brand’s commitment to ensuring that the Manila branch reflects the same culinary philosophy, quality standards, and service excellence that have defined Omoté’s success in Singapore.

Omoté Philippines features a curated menu highlighting its well-loved Chirashi bowls, premium sushi and sashimi, handcrafted rolls, donburi selections, and also contemporary Japanese dishes— each executed with meticulous attention to detail.
